On November 21, 2024, Dushanbe hosted the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federal Republic of Germany. The meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin and the Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia at the German Federal Foreign Office Konrad Arz von Straussenburg.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including politics, economy, trade, investment, energy, industry, migration, education, science and culture.

On October 10, 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov paid a working visit to the city of Magdeburg, Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt.

During the visit, the Ambassador met with the Minister President (Ministerpräsident) of Saxony-Anhalt, Dr. Reiner Haseloff, and the Minister of Economy, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of this state, Sven Schulze, and discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of investment, economy and trade, renewable energy, scientific and technical cooperation, as well as attracting skilled specialists from Tajikistan.

Within the framework of the visit, the Ambassador was received by the President of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt, Gunnar Schellenberger.

At the meeting with the Mayor of Magdeburg, Deputy for Culture, Schools and Sports, Regina-Dolores Stieler-Hinz, the parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation between the regions of Tajikistan and the city of Magdeburg.

Also, with a view to developing and intensifying economic and trade cooperation with the State of Saxony-Anhalt, the Ambassador met with the leadership of the Magdeburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Elise Heinke and Niels Appelt.

At the meeting, issues of economic and trade cooperation between Tajik companies and the state were discussed, as well as the organization of economic forums in Dushanbe and Magdeburg.

On the initiative of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany, a meeting of compatriots living in the country of residence was held under the title “Shomi Didor”.

The event was attended by compatriots living in Germany, including students, trainees, doctors, businessmen, sportsmen and diaspora activists from different regions of Germany, as well as from Poland and the Czech Republic.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Germany, Imomudin Sattorov stressed that thanks to the constant efforts of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon our country has made significant achievements in various fields and is becoming more and more prosperous and beautiful.

During the speech, young people and students were encouraged to pay more attention to the study of modern technologies and contribute to the prosperity and progress of our homeland.

On April 8, 2024, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov met with the Mayor of Reutlingen, Thomas Keck, as part of his working visit to the sister city of Dushanbe.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed a message from the Chairman of Dushanbe, Mr. Rustami Emomali to Mr. Thomas Keck.

There was a constructive exchange of views on strengthening further cooperation between the sister cities in the fields of the economy, science and culture, education, migration, tourism and the organisation of joint cultural and sport events in Dushanbe and Reutlingen.

During the meeting with Wolfgang Epp, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Reutlingen, main attention was paid to the development of cooperation between the private and public sectors, attraction of investments, organisation of economic conferences, establishment of direct contacts between entrepreneurs from Dushanbe and Reutlingen.

At the same time, at the meeting with the President of Reutlingen University, Prof. Dr. Hendrik Brumme, the issues of scientific research cooperation, restoration of inter-university ties, exchange of students and the possibility of studying Tajik citizens in this scientific institution were discussed.

On March 16, 2024, in the city of Berlin, the diplomatic missions of the countries traditionally celebrating Navruz, in cooperation with the Union of Friends of the Ethnological Museum and the Organization of International Cultural Cooperation, celebrated the International Navruz Holiday.

Officials of the host country, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and citizens of the Navruz countries took part in the celebration.

On the occasion of this ancestral holiday, the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany organised a national exhibition of images representing culture, history and national landmarks, which became the centre of attention of numerous guests.

On March 13, 2024, the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Germany, Imomudin Sattorov met with the State Minister for European and International Affairs, Eric Beisswenger, during his visit to the Federal State of Bavaria.

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the state of Bavaria in various fields and agreed to utilise the existing mechanisms for effective joint actions.

The Ambassador also had a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of Bavaria, Martin Schoffel, where the need to strengthen relations in various areas of interest was emphasised.

At another meeting with Christoph Angerbauer, Head of the International Sector, Industry and Innovation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Munich and Upper Bavaria, member of the Board of Directors of this organization, the focus was on establishing cooperation between Tajik and Bavarian companies, as well as attracting investment to various sectors of the Tajikistan’s economy.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany, Imomuddin Sattorov, presented detailed information to the audience about the economic and trade potential, the investment climate, the development of tourism industry and the great natural resources of Tajikistan.

At the same time the Ambassador spoke about the perspectives of expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany in various fields, including economy, trade, investment, science and education, culture, as well as the role of cultural diplomacy in creating a positive image of the country.

On November 27, 2023, an economic forum on energy cooperation and green energy was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Germany with the participation of political and business circles of host country and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

 

 

 

During the forum, opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany in the field of green energy and prospects for its further expansion were discussed.

 

 

 

Guests at the event were introduced to the wide range of opportunities in Tajikistan for developing cooperation in the field of renewable energy, in particular hydropower. The need to attract foreign direct investment and the introduction of new technologies were highlighted as key factors in the development of bilateral cooperation in this field.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan called on German energy companies to participate in the implementation of the initiatives and proposals outlined during the meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia and Germany in the C5+1 format on 29 September 2023 in Berlin.

On 13 November 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany Imomuddin Sattorov paid a working visit to the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg.

 

 

 

During the visit, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Minister of Justice and Migration and the Vice-President of the Landtag (Parliament) of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart, the capital of the Federal State.

 

 

 

 

At the meeting with the Vice-President of the Landtag of Baden-Württemberg, Wolfgang Reinhardt, the prospects of cooperation in the areas of economy, green energy, investments attraction, as well as strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties were discussed.

The meetings were held in a spirit of friendship and mutual understanding.
